You Are My Relative

Public Performance;  Alexanderplatz City Center, Berlin, Germany

The sound sculpture “You Are My Relative” exhibited in Moscow, Russia and further evolved into this interactive performance performed in Alexanderplatz, Berlin, Germany. “You Are My Relative” examines acceptance and interaction, understanding and recognition of the convergence of differing cultures. The exhibit encourages inquiry as to how humans relate to one another and through what ways do we integrate or accept difference.
As there is difference in culture, color, language, and even ability we are given an opportunity. As human beings, we relate in our humanness.
This performance asks the viewer to reconsider the other aspects of politics, nationalism, religion, gender, and beliefs.
