Placemaking/Memory

My goal is a dismantling of these memorial structures that are in their dynamic state displaying a power based upon inequity. It's important to me that my art is a final form and it redefines the place -- what it once was defined as may no longer be an appropriate representation. 

 

A place of memorial may have history, but is that history one that has lived and evolved with the place, and by extension, with us?
